WE are the Twinkles in the Goddess's Eye

Here we are in the here and now, suffering from the ills of the world, right along with our dear planet, and the patriarchy is just crushing the life out of us. The daily news seems to confirm that it is getting stronger rather than weaker. We ask, hey Goddess, are you in a coma or what? Time to rise and shine!

I don't believe that the 1960's and 1970's were just an aberrant hiccup on the patriarchal time line. I see it more as if the Goddess turned over in her sleep and dreamt one blissful dream in the middle of a series of nightmares. She is going to wake up, but for those of us with short human life spans, it seems like she has been sleeping an eternity of a long night. 

Something to remember-we are the body of the Goddess in the same sense as an atom, as the entire planet and as the spinning universe is. As Her, we are experiencing things on a large mammal scale…and specifically on the scale of what we deem important as human beings. We are Her hands, mouth and eyes. We create, we destroy. We destroy a lot. We create bizarre things that are destructive. Best of all we are curious and we like to experiment, just like our Mother does. Unlike her, our experiments often have different motivations.

It is time for us to become the expressions of the Goddess, Her eyes, Her mouth, Her hands. We are going to scrape together our mess of bones and blood that have been crushed and oppressed by the current way of the world. We are going to re-member ourselves and call our Divine Feminine spirits back from where ever they have fled to. We will create our communities, on-line at first to find each other, then in person. Let's make beautiful Goddess temples in our homes, in wild places. Let's change the current way of the world from within and from without until it begins to look more like Her. Let's make everything we do a wake-up song for the Goddess; a song that affirms happiness and abundance, sharing and fine sense of balance.

Let's wake up every day and make magic… and watch the sparks fly!

Probably none of us will be here to see the day when She finally wakes completely, not in this incarnation anyway. But we can quicken the process of awakening. We can send her dreams of the post-patriarchal world that is struggling to be re-born. We inhabit that world already with our own Goddess bodies, we are using our Goddess mouths to call out and find each other, and our Goddess minds and hands to build a world. We won't be here a hundred or so years hence but when she does finally stretch, get up and look out on the new day, we will be the twinkle in her eyes!
