What you will need:

Your tools
Twelve white candles
Lavender incense

Setup: Set up your altar. Place the twelve white candles around your altar. Perform a meditation and cast your circle.

Hold your athame high and say: "On this Great Night, I call upon the Gods of Old."

Point your athame towards the earth and say: "On this Great Night, I call upon the Goddess of Old."

Place your athame back on the altar. Light one of the white candles while saying:

"This is to symbolize the year to come."

Light five more white candles saying the same.

Light the incense while saying: "Great Night, I celebrate you."

Light the remaining six white candles while saying: "Blessed Be to the God and Goddess.  Blessed Be to the Spirits and Powers."

Take a sip from the chalice and say: "I drink in your honor."

Stand in the form of the pentagram while saying: 'May the coming year bring joy and happiness to you and me."

At this point, state your feelings, how you feel, your needs, any thing you want to tell the Gods. Now you may end this ritual, or continue with a spell.

Always remember to say:"So Mote it Be."

Close the circle.

~This ritual was given to me for my BOS from my mother.~
