Wind Chimes and Rain

Dark out and wet
Music I hear
Cacophony of nature

Rain on the leaves
Wind in the trees
Wind chimes ringing for their attention
What kind of bird is happy being in the rain?

Soon the sun will appear
I prefer the rain
Soon the rain will leave the center of the Gulf
And work its way east.

She will send the rain eastward
The sun to the west
The whirling winds
Will cover us
Only to be sent eastward.
And eventually
Swirl about the earth to return

In a circle, in a circle
Round and round and round
History repeats itself
Mother reminds us again.

Cycle, circle, spiral
Life
Death
